It's true! I thought it was a hoax, and we were so slumber at school, instead we were panicking for our presentation and test, no one talking about the commotion we saw outside when we came... When i came to college we saw the road beside ESSO blocked, the place where we always park the car... Yellow tapes around the place, up to the next petrol station beside it, and one big Police truck parked outside, with several policemen and people in the petrol station... http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2007/2/8/nation/20070208184907&sec=nation Police detonate homemade bomb KUALA LUMPUR: A bomb disposal squad detonated what is believed to be a homemade bomb at a petrol station in Taman Cannought, Cheras near here on Thursday. The homemade bomb was placed in a Tupperware, which was wrapped with a white plastic bag. He said, however the woman didn’t open the plastic bag and kept it in the store before showing it to her manager on Thursday morning. The manager who opened the plastic bag and Tupperware immediately found two 12 volt batteries, which was connected with few wires. A bomb disposal squad and firemen were dispatched to the scene immediately after the police received a call. The bomb disposal squad used a robotic detector to detonate the homemade bomb at about 11.30am. According to ACP Rusli, early investigations showed that the bomb was active and contained explosives. “We are investigating the motive of the incident and believe the suspect will be identified soon,” he added. The incident also caused a three-hour-long traffic jam along Jalan Cheras because of the road closure to facilitate the probe.
Sest Nee and i was guessing, robbery? Murder? Then i said, what! early in the morning, at 10am?! Funny... We ignored it... parked the car outside the yellow tapes, slumbered to the shops behind ESSO, and photocopied the presentation handouts... When we came out of the shops, we saw a police officer chasing off the cars which double-parked outside, or was he chasing off all the cars?? Who cares.. we got something even more important... our PRESENTATION!
Climbed up the slope with heels, tired and panting, slumped on the chair, everyone looked so formal and serious... Then someone asked, "You know what's happening at ESSO? Lou Sai said there's a bomb..." Then everyone was like, "Huh? Really? You Kidding? No? Oh.. Ok...." and continued reading our scripts... After sometime when everyone got stressed, we started talking about the "bomb" in ESSO...
The below conversation is just some of what i can remember... Conversation between.. i dunno, around 3 people?
"Why would someone put a bomb in ESSO? What's the point of it?"
"Maybe it's not targeting ESSO, it's targeting the area around it... Don't forget petrol stations are great explosives, and there's ProJet right beside it..."
"Then which idiot put a bomb there?"
"Dunno, maybe UCSI engineering students... Got too stressed with their projects and wanted to test it, to see whether it works... "
"Cool... we psychology students will never do that..." =.=''''
After that we totally forgot about that bomb thing... never heard of any explosions or announcements asking us to evacuate the building =.=''' When we went home at 5:30pm everything was back to normal... Until at night, when even Ryan who lives in Klang asked me, "Your college there got bomb ah?" I was like, "Huh? How did u know, it's for real? You saw it on news?" He didn't reply me... he said "Coz i know la!" feel like strangling him! haha... Then i went to check on the net, and i saw it.. What the... it's real...
Cheras OCPD, Asst Comm Rusli Ahmad said, a female worker of the petrol station found the plastic bag at 9.30pm on Wednesday.
"Heppy! You should thank God you're still alive!"
...................
"Do you know exactly where was the bomb placed?"
"How on earth would i know!!??"
"It'll be great if i'm the one who found the bomb... I'll be interviewed and be on TV... "
=.=|||
He was at the petrol station on Wednesday night, queuing up to answer nature's call... And if the bomb really went off around that time, imagine how chaotic it'll be, because the so-called Malaysia's longest and largest pasar malam is just beside it... Thinking back, maybe the bomb is targeted at all these people? But what for? Maybe he/she is just like Heppy, wanting to be on headlines and on TV =.='''
Don't know what's wrong with all those people... Malaysia surely needs more psychologists...
